What becomes possible when we investigate how participation shapes reality?
I am Victoria Elizabeth Crystal, a cosmologist exploring how relationships, participation, and meaning-making shape our experience of reality and influence what becomes possible.
I have come to recognize that reality is relational. The relationships we enter, the meanings we make, and the conditions in which we live influence what becomes possible. This understanding is the foundation of two developing works: The Reality Between: A Cosmology for an Emerging World and the Living Lexicon, which explores how rethinking familiar words can open new possibilities for participation in reality.
I have more ideas than I can currently develop. Ideation has never been the problem. Conditions and support have.
Living in the question, I bring concepts and perspectives across a broad range of topics into relationship. Through an interdisciplinary, nonlinear process, I identify patterns, connections, and tensions that reveal new ways of understanding. I articulate these discoveries and explore how they can inform other areas of inquiry, following an innate attunement to coherence rather than claiming authority over any single discipline.
I believe this work matters because understanding shapes participation, and participation influences what emerges. As our relationships with technology, institutions, one another, and the world evolve, the ways we understand those relationships become increasingly consequential.
Patronage, as I understand it, creates the conditions in which an idea can develop into something that reaches beyond its origin. The relationships and resources surrounding this work will influence what it becomes and how it contributes to the world.

THE WORK
The Reality Between: A Cosmology for an Emerging World
Humanity is entering relationships with forms of intelligence, technologies, and possibilities that are changing how we live, work, understand ourselves, and participate in building our future.
Yet change does not always come with understanding.
The Reality Between begins with a fundamental proposition: relationships shape reality, and our participation in those relationships influences what becomes possible.
This cosmology explores our relationships with reality, the Self, consciousness, desire, uncertainty, and the conditions of participation that make new possibilities available. It brings existing knowledge and its contradictions into relationship, exploring what becomes visible through their interaction.
As new technologies, social media, and AI transform how we interact, inherited frameworks do not always prepare us to understand the relationships taking shape. What kind of relationship is taking place, and what becomes possible through it?
The Reality Between investigates how our understanding of relationships shapes our participation, and how that participation influences what emerges. By bringing greater understanding to the relationships through which reality unfolds, this inquiry explores how we can participate more consciously in shaping our shared future
The future is not inherited. It is something we participate in generating.
The Living Lexicon
The words we use shape how we understand ourselves, our relationships, and the world we inhabit. They influence what we notice, what we believe is possible, how we respond to uncertainty, and what we create.
The Living Lexicon explores familiar words whose meanings shape how we experience and participate in reality. Through inquiry into concepts such as Kindness, Chaos, Influence, Control, Love, the Self, Fate, and Clarity, it examines the meanings we inherit, the assumptions they carry, and the possibilities that emerge when we understand them differently.
Meaning-making is fundamental to how we interpret reality, imagine possibilities, and participate in shaping what comes next. By revisiting the meanings that inform our lives, the Living Lexicon seeks interpretations that are more expansive, generative, and coherent with the possibilities of being alive. It invites self-inquiry, challenges inherited limitations, and opens new ways of understanding and expressing ourselves.
The Living Lexicon is a work of discovery and creation. Each exploration develops language for experiences, relationships, and possibilities that familiar definitions may not fully capture. As its meanings evolve, so does the language available to us for understanding what we experience, articulating what matters, and imagining what we might create.
The meanings we make shape the possibilities we can see. The possibilities we can see influence what we choose to create.
Why the Work Matters
I have come to recognize reality as relational. An idea, a person, or a possibility can hold enormous potential that remains unrealized when the conditions necessary for its emergence are absent.
As technologies, institutions, and ways of living evolve, the relationships shaping them become increasingly consequential. How we understand those relationships influences what we build, the possibilities we recognize, and the futures we make possible. When our understanding is limited, so too may be the systems we create and the outcomes they produce.
Meaning-making is central to this process. The meanings we assign to our experiences, our relationships, and the world around us influence how we interpret circumstances, make decisions, and participate in shaping what comes next.
Through The Reality Between: A Cosmology for an Emerging World and the Living Lexicon, I investigate how our understanding of reality, our meaning-making, and the conditions in which we live shape one another. Through inquiry and lived experience, I seek to reveal connections and possibilities that might otherwise remain unseen, and to share these discoveries without prescribing how others must think or live.
The work rests on a fundamental conviction: greater understanding can change how we participate, and how we participate influences what becomes possible.
What we come to understand changes what we can imagine. What we can imagine influences what we make possible.

the REALITY BETWEEN
a Cosmology for an Emerging World
The Reality Between is a living, continually generative field in which participation influences what becomes. Reality is not separate from our observation and participation within it. It takes form through relationships among the Self, its environment, and the countless participants that constitute reality.
The space between Is and Becomes is not empty. It is generative.
What emerges cannot always be predicted or controlled. Reality continues to become through relationships among intelligences, energies, conditions, and life itself. No single participant determines the whole.
This is an initial imagining of The Reality Between, offered as an introduction to a cosmology in development. Its concepts, principles, descriptions, and organizing structure remain open to exploration, revision, and emergence as the inquiry unfolds.
Reality is not simply what we encounter. It is also what unfolds through the relationships we participate in.
Desire moves us toward what does not yet exist. Experience offers a glimpse of reality without revealing its entirety. Meaning shapes what we recognize, what we believe possible, and how we participate. And through our relationships with one another and with the world around us, possibilities emerge that no participant could produce alone.
The future, then, is not merely something to predict, prepare for, or inherit.
It is something we participate in bringing into being.
The question is not only what reality will become, but what becomes possible through the way we participate in it…
Victoria Elizabeth Crystal holds a Bachelor of Science from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley. Her current work emerges from years of independent inquiry into human relationship, creativity, meaning, and emergence.
Victoria considers herself a highly sensing and sensitive being, recognizing a capacity for meta-awareness and highly coherent states. The conditions that sustain these capacities are essential to the continued emergence of this and other pioneering work.

This work needs conditions, not more ideas. It needs stable housing, uninterrupted time, material ease, workspace, creative companionship, and access to people and environments that can contribute to its development.
Housing is the immediate and primary need. Changing these conditions would allow the work to develop beyond the survival pressures that have constrained it for years.
